Little peek of my girl 🥰 4D scan

I have managed to stay away from sonographers since my 20 week scan, what an achievement! I’m 27+6 today and we went for a little peek. My little girl was well and active as usual! Just like at the 20 week scan she has her legs up and in front of her face, it took a walk around the block, a cold drink, several jumps and bum wriggles to get her to move the leg a little. She looks just like daddy (of course!) same lips 🥰

For me too it was just a cold but I could not taste/smell anything which was horrible. But could be worse. Yes, still doesn’t feel real! Xx

I’m usually freaked out too but I wanted a scan in between NHS scans and I thought let’s give it a try! When is your 20 week scan? 💕

I'm already 26 weeks now, so had my 20 weeks what feels like ages ago. I have an additional one at 32 weeks... I'm tempted to have another private scan too, but not yet sure if we will. I'm weighing up the costs of svan vs buying baby stuff 🤦🏼‍♀️Feeling her kick daily is so reassuring!! 💞💞

Wow, you are right behind me then! Forgive me, sometimes I loose track of my own weeks! Yes after 220304040 scans in the first trimester, I only had the 2 scans on NHS at 12 and 20 weeks! I tried to save money, it’s much easier when you can feel movements! Then I found a £80 offer for this scan so we had to go 😆 no regrets xxx

£80 is a bargain. Where I did mine before it's more like 200....

It's so hard to be patient, isn't it! I see my midwife every 2-3 weeks, so I get to listen in to the heartbeat regularly, which is lovely xx

For some reason they want to measure my blood pressure every 2-3 weeks. Not ever had high blood pressure but due to age (>40) the obstetrician requested it as I'm higher risk for pre-eclampsia . I don't mind to be honest 🤷‍♀️ it's quite nice to have regular check ups x

Yes, completely understand what you mean. I remember that feeling well. He's really good, thank you. 7 months already which is hard to believe. The time when they're little really does go too quickly. Hope the rest of your pregnancy is comfortable xx

Good thanks, except I've reached the point where I just don't sleep anymore 😅. Can't wait to start mat leave! Feeling so so ready emotionally but practically still have a way to go 😅. The nursery is a mess! Spending all our free time trying to get it sorted. xxx

Exactly the same for me! Can’t sleep already, nursery is a mess (which might contribute to that) and my maternity leave starts mid December 😫 Huge regret I haven’t asked for it to start earlier xxx

Uff, yea, that is a long time to wait! I'm a freelancer, but I also agreed with my current client to wait until the last minute (7 November when I'm due 25th November) and I regret it a bit... Soooo tired. 🥴

Thank you 🥰 how is the spotting? I bled and had spotting in the first trimester. It does not always mean the worse in fact it’s so so common! Good luck for your scan x

Unfortunately the spotting seemed to coincide with one of the twins no longer having a heartbeat at the 8 week scan, but one was still ggoing strong. I'm in that horrendous waiting period between scans where I have no idea how everything is going and my symptoms are getting less and less so all just a stressful waiting game till my scan at 13 weeks! X
