Dealing with stress at work....

Not sure if anyone else is finding dealing with work stress quite hard...

I am in my first trimester so really exhausted...and don't want to tell my employer until the latest possible date as I have been promoted recently and worried I have a probationary period...

I just don't feel like I am managing and worried this will start to impact a healthy pregnancy.

Yes agreed!!! It is so hard when you are having a tough time, I am lucky my manager is a good friend so she has been able to support me. Is there anyone you can talk to? A HR person maybe or another manager? It’s really important to look after yourself now xxx

I can try - I wonder do HR need to keep it confidential?

Due to the promotion I don't want to lose any of my new salary etc.

I also have a toddler so working full-time and caring for her was already a challenge in full health....

Thanks for your response - I will check who I can confide in

Yes I think you should be able to get confidential support, also if you unsure of your rights here is there an employee assistance support you have access too to talk through options?

Potentially - I can look into it....

Thanks so much Star241!!

They can’t discriminate against you so you might be better to mention it to your boss but tell no one else.
