I think the hospital is becoming my second home.. I go there so often. Tonight we were in a car accident- not very serious.. no blood or anything and just a little more than a fender bender. Luckily I sat in the back seat on the other side of where the impact was and both vehicles were driving quite slowly.
I am at the maternity triage close to the crash site now.. and they have checked baby’s heartbeat and movement which are fine but wouldn’t offer me a scan and I am just a bit freaked out by that. Baby is moving… is she moving normally .. I don’t know 🤷🏽♀️. The only slight trauma I got was the safety belt jerking under my bump.
I hope our Snowflake is ok 🤞🏽 Does anyone have experience of this?

Hi that’s sounds super frightening!! I was in a very serious car accident when I was around 20 weeks pregnant my car was written off, and I was taken off the motorway into the barrier, I had to go by ambulance to the nearest hospital and to a&e and then the pregnancy unit for tests, I am also rhesus negative so the seatbelt trauma I had to get some blood plasma - however the baby was fine, I had whiplash and soreness for a week (on paracetamol only for pain) so I think if you have been checked out unless anything is changed or feeling different with the baby you should be fine, but if you are concerned go straight back to the hospital xxx
Wow now that sounds super scary! I am so glad you and baby are ok! Thank you for sharing- we were very lucky. We ended up a few cm’s from a ditch and massive tree so things could’ve been a lot worse. I was just a bit worried as my acrobat of a baby flipped back into position after being breech for a week and the seatbelt would’ve jerked where her head is. Just back from DAU and all seems fine so I’m feeling much more reassured.
Hi Bozo. If you haven't already done so, then get your midwife to tell you how to set up a baby kick chart to keep an eye on her movements. Hope all continues as it should. Diane
