Hi ladies, I'm currently 8w3d pregnant and apart from all the usual meds I am also prescribed folic acid 5mg. At what point do you stop the higher folic acid dose? At 12 weeks as with everything else? I'm still obviously taking the normal supplements.
Interested to hear what others did.

I stopped mine when I swapped to prenatals Along with extra vitamin D xx
I asked midwife and was told it was fine to keep taking it so I kept going until I used up my last prescription around 20 weeks at which point they said there wasn’t any need to get more. X
I think it's only important for the first 12 weeks but I kept taking all the same vits etc throughout the pregnancy (and still am post birth) as I figured it may be beneficial to baby (and me 
)
Hi User. Most clinics say up to 12/40wks of pregnancy, so you can wean down from 10/40wks if you preer, rather than stopping abruptly. See what your midwife recommends as she will have the latest. Diane
Update: I've spoken to the midwife and she recommended to carry on with folic acid past 12 weeks x
