Went to Gastro with colon issues only to learn I had hemangiomas and cysts on my liver through a CT. He then ordered an ultrasound and HCV Fibrosure blood test, along with a MRI. So far it has been conservatively evaluated as benign growths. Now my Rheumatologist who I see for Sjogrens, wants me to see Hepatologist for the Fibroscan test, etc. I had no idea so many tests are needed and thought I was finished with tests for a while. Is this usual for everyone with these issues?

The liver is hard to diagnose and what you want to know is whether you have fibrosis or NASH that can lead to serious issues so the FibroScan is to see what your liver stiffness is. Good practice to be sure what is going on.
