I am still on my diabetes meds though . My husband has been on this journey with me even though his liver is fine and his A1C was 5.3 and he has been off all diabetes meds. He lost 63 lbs and is wearing size 34 X 34 jeans now! I only lost 43 lbs but it was enough! I’m back to wearing a size 10 now and I’m so proud of us!!!

Good for your husband ! Just curious why you are still on your diabetes meds ? Have you spoken with an endourologist? I did and she told me I no longer need to be on meds. I am also on a Statin(Pravastatin) for cholesterol even though my cholesterol is well controlled. I however, will not get off this medication as according to studies and my gastroenterologist, it helps with inflammation of the liver. That has been my goal to fit back in my waist 34 jeans. I kept a pair for years hoping one day I would fit back in them. I think I am just about there. I just need to find the darn jeans. They are stored away somewhere 😀. Take care.

I guess I’m still in those meds because maybe that is what’s keeping my A1C as low as it is. I hope at some point to get off them though

What I did was go one week without meds then 2 then 1 month and now I have been off since February. I still check my blood sugar every day just to be sure. I don’t ever plan to get back on those meds because I will never again change my eating lifestyle. My philosophy is the least amount of meds the better. My motto is “Let food be thy Medicine”. 😄
