Just a couple of questions regarding NASH Diet reccomendations offered on the FLF website.
I appreciate the reccomendation of Apollo EVOO as there are so many brands available. Their milling process results in higher polyphenols ppm
than many other oils. Information provided shows it to be a high quality source of omega 9.
My questions are regarding a FLF reccomendation for a quality refined salmon oil, and regarding salmon is wild caught a better choice than farm raised? Also, I have only seen salmon oil as a soft gel. Is the refined oil only available in liquid form?
Also, I’m not sure if eating hard boiled eggs, which I enjoy, is something that should or should not be included in a NASH diet.
As always just trying to better use my diet to
facilitate a positive change for improved liver health.
Sincerely,
Rob

I’m sure others have a better answer for you than I do because I have not purchased salmon oil supplements, but I do buy wild caught fish rather than farm raised. I do include hard boiled eggs in my diet, and still improved my FibroScan within the first year after my diagnosis of NASH F3
Thank you for your response. I have been using Flaxseed Oil for it’s Omega 3-6-9 content. However the FLF website suggests Fish Oil May be a better source, and that Salmon Oil would be the best choice rather than just “Fish Oil” which would be a blend of different fish oils. Salmon oil I believe has a greater amount of Omega 9 which may help to reduce liver inflammation. Not sure if softgels or Salmon Oil in liquid form makes any difference. I’m trying to duplicate
Mr. Eskridge’s diet as he has results over time that would support his use of Salmon Oil as well as using Apollo extra virgin olive oil due to its higher level of polyphenols which reduce inflammation. I would agree with you that hard boiled eggs are probably ok
I follow Wayne’s recommendations as much as possible also, and he’s done an amazing job of improving his own health. I never hesitate to ask him a question if I need advice! I’m fortunate to live reasonably close to an Olive Mill that grows it’s own olive trees and produces olive oil so I’m able to buy 100% locally produced olive oil.
We’re also fortunate to have found this site to help guide us.
Hi - Yes, the place where I go to buy olive oil does ship although I think there’s a shipping fee unless you purchase $100.00 worth. They sell flavored olive oils as well and also various balsamic vinegars. Here is the link to the website:
Thanks for your most recent response. I have trouble finding wild caught salmon on a consistent basis here in Turlock, Ca. I am going to look for wild caught salmon in cans at our local Costco warehouse store. Hopefully it approximately equals “fresh” salmon in its benefit to the liver. I will be adding salmon oil supplement as well just because it seems Wayne does that as well.
