I just had a LiverMultiScan by Perspectum, it is a non-invasive liver test recently approved by Medicare

This is a link to my blog post about the test. I was very pleased as it showed that I had no inflammation or fat in my liver so I am apparently still managing my cirrhosis well.

Is it CT?

It is an MRI based test

Thanks, very interesting. I may try to get one, whenever they are finally available in my neck of the woods.

That's fantastic news, congratulations. I would love to read a sample day of how often and what you eat in a day...when you get time.

That is so wonderful Wayne. I read the blog, several times. I had a biopsy. Mild inflammation no cirrhosis grade 1 fibrosis. Hoping I can turn back time!! 🙏

What is the difference between this and an MRE? How do you get this test? I am assuming a Doctor must refer you.

Hi KC108

MRE is similar to Fibroscan in that it measures the speed of a pressure wave through the liver. This test uses artificial intelligence to analyze the image produced by the MRI so completely different kind of analysis.

I have had similar results from my yearly scan, feel like I have a handle on this, I hope??

Will this pick up hypodensities and cysts? I'm confused about whether to get an ultrasound or MRI. I had a recent Cardiac Calcium Score done, and it showed some anomalies in the dome of the liver. Thx.

Hi Tim

No, it is a specific test for inflammation and fat and doesn't provide the kind of image a CT or MRI will provide.
