When my results came back, my doctor had a nurse call to tell me that I had H. Pylori and they were sending an antibiotic order to my pharmacy. That was it, a couple days later I recieved a letter with more information on this infection .
Today, I recieved a letter from my insurance provider that my G.I recommended an office visit. I called to schedule and they told me that after I get my MRCP done on Friday that I needed to call to schedule my office visit.
My question is.. could I be getting bad news? I am really freaking out! I mean the 1st endoscopy, I recieved my results over the phone but now.. after my re-scope and blood work, my G.I wants me to go into her office..
Sorry.. I'm just really nervous..

Well a couple of things, there have been a lot of changes about insurance billing with covid so you can't assume it is something special. If you are having an MRCP your doc is likely checking you for gallstones and I imagine most docs would want to speak to you about the results. It sounds more like good care to me. We more often hear stories of docs not talking to patients.
It's pretty much human nature to imagine the worst while overlooking everything else and without realizing that the best may be just as likely (maybe not as probable, but always possible). Having dealt with NASH/Cirrhosis for a few years now, I will have to whole heartedly agree with Wayne; MORE information regarding your situation is always a good thing. Even if the information is not what you hope, at least you will have a more informed point of reference allowing you to make better choices regarding your future. Hang in there, deep breaths - you've got this!
