That is a familiar struggle to most of us. It is a continuous process. Losing the weight likely improved your situation. Putting it back on likely set you back a bit but getting back on a healthy lifestyle is the important thing. COVID has harmed us all but all we can do is come out the other side. You have lots of company in the emotional struggle, not that that helps.
No use crying over spilled milk. You only have the ability to effectuate change right here, right now. Getting wound up and emotional about what's now ancient history aint gonna help. So its time to get disciplined and focused. You can do it. Anyone can do it. I've lost over 25lbs since October and i wasn't really overweight to begin with. 199lbs at 6ft tall and now 174lbs. Dropped BMI from 26.5 down to 23 and still going. My goal is 168lbs with a BMI of 21. My mentality is that sugar is poison. Refined carbs are poison. Alcohol is poison. Meat is poison. Processed foods are poison. I literally have convinced myself that i would be ingesting poison if i acquiesced. You need to plan ahead and tackle each meal or snack as it comes. Pause before you do anything. Even if you must talk outloud to remind yourself. "If i put this into my body right now, is that good or bad". My wife picked me up this organic granola mix last week. I looked at the ingredients and there was 1gm of added sugar. Just 1 gm. I threw it out. That's the discipline.
