Advice on food, vitamin supplements, multivitimans and exercise structure

Hello to everyone. I am happy to have found this group. I have felt very alone since my diagnosis of NASH. GP did told me what I got and waved me on my way and told me to schedule a blood test in 3 months to see if my enzymes currently at 186 has gone down. I have done alot of research and tried to make a diet that is working to help me lose weight. I think I went in to hard with the exercise at first and my lungs and heart seemed to struggle. I've slowed it down now to build myself up at a better place but I have lost 2stone in 2 months. I would like to know if anyone is willing to give me any advice on multivitimans they take or what lifestyle changes to diet has worked for them. I was staying off mear but I have found that with no meat at all and only sardines I have been battling with fatigue and energy. Any advice would be greatly appreciated to add to the research I have done. Thank you and I hope everyone is feeling positive. All my best.

Vitamin E is generally considered to be standard of care. 400 to 800 daily but some docs have concerns about all cause mortality so discuss it with your doc. I take 400 but took 800 when I was more critical. Many people have bone density issues so vitamin D is used by a lot.

I have just learned why I am so fatigue. My iron was very low because I do not eat red meat, so be careful with that too. I'm feeling much better since the doctor put me on a supplement. Ask your dr. to test if you are fatigue.

Thank you for that. I have also gone off all red meat and white meat except for sardines. I have always been a big eater of meat, especially red meat. I will definately speak to my GP about this when I am able to speak to them. Thank you very much for replying.

Some multi vitamin could harm people then good . So do tests ask dr plus too much iron damages the liver . So be cautious by all means .fish should be taken twice weekly . But even twice can be harmful because of mercury levels so be careful .brocolli and other vegies are full of vitamins but too much can cause sugar levels go up .be balanced -).no red meat is best

Thanks Arian. I am.teying to balance it as best I can. As with being diagnosed with NASH it has been my tendency to live life in excess that has lead me here. I am now realising that a more researched and balanced approach is the only way to go. Thank you for your reply.

Hi PaPPaG, I was also diagnosed with NASH. I never was a big meat eater and now even less. Ihave to take iron supplement (quadroFER), vit e(400) and vit d (calciferol). Also for about 6 months after diagnosis I had to take B vitamins (Neurobion) All the best

Hey Shato. Was this prescribed by a specialist. My GP not willing to refer me until August and only if my enzymes have not improved. It's very frustrating but what can I do.
