My liver enz have been normal for the last 2 months but I had some abdominal pain (right side) so Dr asked me to do an ultrasound that came with ''mild fatty liver'' then my Gesto did FibroSure (LabCorp). The results are S0- No Steatosis (0.19), N0- No NASH (0.25) and F1-F2- Fibrosis (0.35). I met with my family Dr and he said that the results seem off.
Questions- Do FibroSure results make sense? Fibrosis without Nash/ Steatosis?
Are these results reliable? I have also lost 12 LB, though I am lean. Please advise if I should do a biopsy and/ see a liver specialist.
Thanks in advance

Might be good to review some definition. There is a lot of confusion. Steatosis is fatty liver. It becomes NASH when it starts to cause scar tissue to form so if you are staged at F1-F2 that is early stage NASH. Fibrosure doesn't measure steatosis or fat but does measure inflammation so I'm guessing that it said mild inflammation. You might double check with your gastro about the confusion or try to see a liver specialist. Losing weight is the recommendation so you are on a better track but there is confusion with how you described those results.
Every test has an error rate so no one can give you a guarantee, but of the tests you've had I value the FibroScan the most. Those values are low and many of us wish we could get results like that so paying attention to your health going forward is wise but you shouldn't be frightened.
