how would a liver disease such as steatosis. Fibrosis or cirrhosis be described if seen on ultrasound. Homogenous, heterogenous.

Ultrasound shows as brighter than normal tissue and is not very accurate until a liver is quite fat an homogeneous. It can't see fibrosis except after it distorts the shape of the liver and begins to look nodular which is quite late in the game.

ultrasound report normal size liver and homogeneous liver parenchyma. Unremarkable abdominal sonogram . I gues that a good report.previous sonograms always said heptomegaly enlarged increased echogenicity. Wich may be seen in hepactuc steatosis. Guess the weight loss works.

yes, as far as it goes. If you have a concern for your liver you actually need a stiffness test such as a FibroScan but that report doesn't say anything scary.

yes I’ve had fibroscan last year doing a repeat in august. My dr said the current report with the normal size liver and homogenous parenchyma shows the weight loss is Helping the liver get healthy he said loose the weight you’ll see a difference in your fibroscan repeat and your level of fibrosis will be better. He said current sonogram is the proof that things are lookin good. I’ve also had a fibrosis acti test and fib 4 done and he valued those tests and they had me at minimal fibrosis. 7 months after weight loss and eating better with sugar control.

It sounds like you have things under control, keep on course and you should be fine. Congrats

thank you sir, the blood test I did with minimal fibrosis/No activity and than getting a sonogram report that was good really helped me keep focused on keeping healthy. Hoping things get even better.
