Looking for some help from people who have experienced liver pain…
is it usually like a shooting pain that comes and goes at random times, whatever you’re doing?
Or is it more of an uncomfortable ache/soreness when putting pressure on it, such as when bending /sitting?
Will appreciate any answers.

For me it is a more of an ache and pressure. Felt not just with pressure but sitting or standing. It comes and goes.
Mine was an ache, but a really bad ache. It's only happened a couple of times but I thought about going to the emergency room, it was so bad. Trying to stretch out my torso seemed to help a bit, but it was awful.
Where do you guys experience the pain? Exact location...
On my two bottom ribs - symmetrical sides, but 90% on right side, don’t feel it so much on left
Also the odd weird feeling in upper stomach, just below right rib.

I experience pain of what feels like it's actually pain in my ribs themselves. I don't know if it's actually my liver or something else going on. I can lightly press on my ribs at times and feel pain. I never experience pain below my ribs. Very odd...
When i started feeling an ache around the liver area I tried taking milk thistle supplement and it helped with the pain. However, it's not immediate relief I think it took a couple of days. But know that everyone is different and talk to your doctor to see if it something that you could try. Another thing is that it's not a cure for fatty liver, but it's a step to getting healthier. Through my journey I know it takes time.
Does anyone have constant pain? I have pain on the right side almost constantly and I know not what makes it any worse or better but it's just a constant reminder of what I feel is my impending doom. I shouldn't say or think things like this but it's always there. Every doctor I goto, even hepatologists tell me that's it's not liver related but I just have a hard time accepting it.
You can have all of the above, it all depends on what you have eaten, or if you have proper rest. Keep stress out of your life that makes it happen too. Stay calm, eat right and pain will be minimal. Watch what you eat for sure.
I’ve had the “rib area” pain since I’ve been diagnosed with NaSH/MASH. It feels like something is gnawing on my lower ribs on the right side. Having this condition diagnosed for over 2 years now, I’ve noticed thinks that seem to contribute to when it goes away or starts up. It serves a reminder to stay on course toward healthier living. When I regularly exercise and eat to help my liver, it often disappears. It returns when I’ve not eaten well for even a day. (Eating something I shouldn’t… or being with family over the holidays and not eating like I usually do will bring it on.) I’ve read and heard from drs you can’t feel your liver or that this isn’t related. Interesting that almost everyone with fatty liver experiences this “signal” that something is not ok! Diet, exercise, and follow dr guidance using supplements as directed. I take N-Acetyl Cysteine 1000 daily on am empty stomach. Studies (NIH)have shown it (helps) the liver - fat liver.
