Yes, I have been taking this new drug since May 2024. My Fibroscan results from January 2024 to September 2024 are amazing the positive change from taking this medication. I highly recommend it if you can get on it. I am tired sometimes but I'm not sure that this can be attributed to this medication. Good Luck!

Thanks so much for your answer. I don't see my hepatologist again until late February but I am hopeful of getting a prescription for it. We discussed it briefly before my liver biopsy. Do you have fibrosis?

Just started, 5 days, no side effects yet and way to early for results.

Maybe some slight nausea, but not much. Two weeks in.

I asked my new Dr at the U of Mn if she would prescribe it for me (stage 2)…She said “no” and suggested they are more excited about a drug not yet released. She suggested starting a glp1 (I’m struggling with weight loss but not horribly overweight or a diabetic) … surprised! My gen dr also would not prescribe it for me, which is why I decided to treat with a liver dr/dept. disappointing especially when you hear about others doing so well with it. So glad to hear that it is effective for those who are getting it!!

There is some research that shows that some GLP-1 and SGLT2 meds help with MASH. I have been doing a lot of research.

I heard that GLP's side affects include digestive issues. Is this true?

Yes but that is also a side effect of the liver meds too. In my particular case, I also have neuroendocrine cancer and some thyroid nodules, so they may not be a good idea. My biopsy showed stage 3 fibrosis but haven't seen hepatologist back yet.Interestingly, fat was F0-F1.Our bodies are weird.

I hope things get better for all of us. Yea, my doctor told me that glp can cause constipation and could get dangerous if a person doesn't drink a lot of water.

My liver enzymes have vastly improved since I have been on Mounjaro. They had improved before that when my regular doctor added Zetia to my medications. The Zetia combined with Crestor was doing a lot of good, but with Mounjaro, it is next level. I stopped seeing my hepatologist because he is so focused on research. If I don't participate in a clinical trial, his attitude is, oh well, you and your liver are on your own. I miss my 1st hepatologist who retired.

I’ve read that, too and it makes sense because weight loss is essential to turning this disease around. Thx Maxy

I've been on it for 3 months and my levels have stabilized. Hopefully a few more months and they will begin to drop. I have tried to adjust my diet also, but it's very hard. I've also done tons of research on the the GLPs and I had a prescription, but my insurance would not cover it. My issues are all genetic with a long family history of cirrhosis.

I have never had abnormal labs but biopsy showed stage 3 fibrosis. I think mine may be from a clotting disorder. Can't wait to D/W Hepatolgist.

My levels have been increasing for many years and I finally had a biopsy a year or so ago and my liver was worse than labs had shown. Mine is all genetic so hard to fight that, but in trying.

Looks like things are improving. Keep doing what you're doing

Hi, I was in clinical trials for Resmetirom for 2 years. The 1st year I don’t know if I was on Resmetirom or a placebo but then Madrigal guaranteed I would be on the drug if I consented for another year of the trial. I took the 80mg for the 1st 3 months and the 100mg for the remaining 9 months. I didn’t have any problems with it. My FibroScan results were improved at the end of the trial. I was off Resmetirom for about a year and a half while waiting for FDA to approve it. I was happy to be able to get back on it after FDA approval March 2024. I was able to get back on it (now called Rezdiffra) In July 2024 & my FibroScan October has already shown improvement in my CAP score. I hope you can get on it.

been on it since July 2024. Saw scan improvements but not labs just in last two weeks started to feel worse again, started itching and bloating/nausea. Entire time on the Rezdiffra I have felt abdominal discomfort and a lot more tired. Also makes my excretions smell very odd, like ai am sweating out the excess lipids or something else.
