Before I was diagnosed with NASH and fibrosis, I was tsking collagen supplements for my joints and skin. I know fibrosis is made of collagen and that the body produces it on its own. I can find NO information on whether collagen supplements contribute to fibrosis. I stopped taking vitamin C supplements due to vitamin c's part in the formation of fibrosis and have not resumed the collagen supplements but if anyone has information regsrding such supplementation in regard to fibrosis, I would appreciate it.

Hi
I'm sorry I don't but wanted you to know I'm thinking of you. I'm sure someone will be along to help you soon. Please take care of yourself Lynne
collagen is a nonliving substance,a protein which gets brokendown to its components after digestion, and hence cannot be absorbed as such.all those claims regarding its effects on joints are false.
