Please help ! My fibroscan result 12.6 kPa: What's could be the issue? How to reverse it ? Approx. how long will it take with lifestyle ?

Fibroscan result: 12.6 kPa , UAP:183 dB/m. All other liver function tests are normal. Age 26 , male , have been a heavy drinker since 2 years .. Sober since last 2 months.

Can anybody help me with these reports ? How bad are these values ?

Thanks.

You will want to discuss specifics with your doctor but from your description, your liver was being rapidly damaged by your drinking. Fortunately you have stopped. Your fibrosis score of 12 is generally considered to be bordering on serious but the good news is that most alcohol abusers will improve quickly if they stop drinking. It will likely take months for your liver to stabilize but if you eat a healthy diet and get some exercise there is every reason to think you can live a normal life. You have lost some of your reserve capacity so don't ever think you don't need to pay attention in the future but based on your comments your prospects are positive. However, this is not medical assessment and you need to discuss it thoroughly with your doctors

BUT I was very lucky to not already have had scarring. I consider food and lifestyle medicine, so you have to take it seriously. I worked allot with a dietitian, so u may want to do the same. Stop drinking...
