Walkingcats Hi everyone I was just diagnosed with Nash non alcoholic on Friday. Started my diet and exercise on Sunday and found this group as well. Looking for support and Ideas about what has worked well. I have ha a Heart ❤️ attack 2008 on meds a TIA, Osteoporosis, 2 hip replacements and Diebetis. all my numbers are within range. But I questioned my Doctor about my liver enzymes. Since I was diagnosed with Diebetis 2 years ago I wanted to see a liver specialist. Took me 3 months to get an appointment and glad I did. I found out this Past Friday I have NASH.....Since there is no cure I’m following what my Doctors suggested until I get into a Trial. Life style change.... I’m in❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏I’m in👍

God be with you on your journey. I have found that some people with diet and exercise have been able to almost completely eradicate Nash. They say that you can't cure it, but there are people that beg to differ. This depends on each person and their body and if you stay the course throughout your life of course. I myself habit and struggle to be good and healthy with my eating and choices I'm not doing very well right now..Still, I keep trying to fight for it. Glad you're here.

If possible get started on the testing for a Liver Transplant. It can Take up to two years to get everything together for a spot on a transplant list. You will eventually need a transplant. Good to start early and get finances and Insurance in Line. The tests are exhaustive but you will be glad you started early rather than too late.

Hi Walking

You will find a lot of conflicting information on the internet. As a patient myself, I started the foundation to try to provide a site with research based information. If you would like to start with some background, this is my personal story.

Hi. I started my fit (not fight) for life after getting sick in 2016. I contracted hepatitis C which caused liver cirrhosis and double pneumonia. Since then I have lost 80 plus lbs. and walk over three miles a day. My liver has gotten better. Not completely healed but better. You can get better. Don’t give up.

I would recommend the Jason Fung Book called the Obesity Code he talks about how to lose weight and tackle insulin resistance which often stops us managing this. Also there a strong link with this and diabetes and thus leads to NAFLD. I am following what he says and the weight is dropping off.

Wishing you all the best.

Hey, 4 weeks ago i felt pain 4-6 times in that area every day. Then i started to eat avocado, 3 salats every day, quinoa, mushrooms made in the oven without oil, vegetable soup, turkey on the grill or boiled , zucchini in the oven with a little bit of cheese and tomatoes, bought a bike for house and im curently doing 1 hour every day 5 days per week, im eating shrimps ( i like shrimps with salad), put olive oil in my salads and now i feel pain there maybe 2 times every day. I hope i will not feel pain soon. Sorry for my english, its not my first language. I take silimarin and also quite smoking. I also do intermeting fasting ( 14 hours fasting and eat 3 times per day, in not eating snacks). Maybe some people with fatty liver have insulin resistence so thats why im doing intermiting fasting. I also lost 5 kg so im so happy. I also have hashimoto tiroidiris so its very hard for me to lose weight but im sure if im eating healthy and doing exercises i will lose another 10 kg. I also take magnesium and omega 3.
