I just received word that my kidneys are failing. I was not aware that on the past blood work, every 3 months, that my kidney function has been declining & now at a point that I am seeing a kidney specialist next week. From what I have read on line this is definitely NOT a good thing.
ANYONE have experience with kidney failure & what was the treatment, if any ?

It is a fairly common problem with cirrhosis. As the liver gets more damage it puts a lot of pressure on the kidneys since they work together to manage several things in the blood. Here is a link that can get you started with education but very important that you do see that doc. You hepatologist and the kidney doc should work closely together as part of your care team. Good Luck Wayne
