Long term movicol

Hello, my 3.5 years old has been on movicol now for 2 years, 1 sachet a day, we have tried to reduce but she gets immediately constipated when doing so. Any suggestions? Are there any studies about side effects of long term treatments?

Movicol is absolutely fine to take long term.

Hi LuciaMM , Macrogol laxatives are very safe, because the liquid stays in the bowel and is not absorbed into the body.
