I'm doing disimpaction for my 7 year old. She's been constipated and on laxatives for years.
I did 2 weeks of the sachet schedule and then 6 days adding bisacodyl tablet at night & suppository morning.
She's had very watery stool (sometimes clear or light brown with just tiny bits spraying out, sometimes brown, totally liquid poo).
Is this brown bitty water or tea water or not?
Are brown bitty water & tea water referring to the same thing?
Does tea water still have little bits of food in it?
When we added in the stimulants, she had a few dark, old-looking small chunks in the mix and is currently having type 6 stool.
What variation should be expected in her poos from day to day while continuing disimpaction?
Should it stay at tea water all the time or have variations in poo type because she is eating?
How will I know when the disimpaction is complete?
Do you think she's already completed it?
I am considering stopping the stimulant & suppository & continue 12 sachets for a week, then start to reduce the sachets because it's been a long time and I wonder if she's disimpacted and the stimulant makes her tummy hurt.
I am confused by her continuing to have variations in the poo type even though the watery stool has been the most frequent type.
Do I wait until it's only watery poo all the time? Does type 6 mean she's not disimpacted yet?
Thanks for any help!
