We are really struggling, so we managed 4 sachets yesterday, and today she's had like Mr whippy type poops. Today is first lot of 6 sachets and I'm not sure how we are going to fot them in her she is really struggling and I'm doing it so it's the least fluid possible by putting into milk as in juice is 1, too much fluid and 2 she doesn't like squash as she's a water drinker.

So far we've manage 3.5 sachets today and it's 4.30pm and how do you do it. On top of this she's meant to be able to eat and drink water???

Fluid is key so the more you get into them the better. You can add it to anything else afterwards as long as you mix it with the correct amount of water first.

So I'm doing the movicol water mix 63mls water then adding to milk as its the least amount to drink but so far that's too much for her to drink, has water seperate too her tummy just can't take it all it seems 🤔

The fluids will help, they are key to the disimpaction being successful. The movicol does not count towards the daily allowance of fluids so you need to ensure that she is drinking enough on top of the sachets. You can add the movicol to anything else afterwards, doesnt have to be a drink, can be in any fluid.

Yep thank you I know, but it's the volume of stuff that's the issue, I'm going to try jelly as a change, I've tried Don cereal but she just leaves most of the milk so that's not working, she won't eat soup or anything like that. So don't relaly know what else to try it in, porridge I'm guessing is no as its thickening, and in eggs won't work as it would be cooked..... I've tried ice lollies but she will only eat half then wouldn't touch them again. I've not tried yoghurt yet but it's going to be such a minimal amount I can get into yoghurt surely it's barely worth it 🤔 any food ideas are welcome, she won't eat sauces so that's out too

Can you mix it in some beans or gravy with a meal, if she's a water drinker then just put in water instead of milk as its a thicker liquid than water. Try senna tablets if liquid is too much. They'll really help.

It's so hard isn't it, she's an avid water drinker (I so wish it was tasteless so we could just do water) I never thought her not drinking squash etc would be an issue in life lol

Try syringing it in, that can often work. Unfortunately, you have to get rather imaginative. How old is your child?

I will try that but she hates having medicine that way so prob be an issue, worth a try though. She is just 5, so we are missing more school this week but last week was her first paediatric appointment and this is her first disimpaction

Definitely keep going, maybe make it really cold too, makes it more palatable that way. Does she like smoothies as you could add it to those. The Eric website has some great advice on how to give the movicol, might be worth a look.
