Hi, my son started constipating after few months of successful potty training. It was hard stools at first but gradually started improving after increasing water intake. But now he seems to have fear pooping as I have noticed him withholding it and doing it only after 3 days.
I contacted the GP who prescribed me to give Laxido. My Son does not like the taste of it,I have tried fruit juice but he does not like it too.
Can I mix the sachet first in 63 ml of water and then add a little cow milk to it just so, he looks at the colour and drinks it.
Thanks

Once you have mixed it up with the correct amount of water first you can add it to anything else afterwards. I would also add a stimulant to the regime. Be mindful milk can cause constipation so it may do more harm than good.
Dear Teddy02 , yes you can. Provided that you mix with the exact amount of water first, you can then add to anything at all. Laxido will keep for 6 hours in the fridge. Try adding it in really tiny amounts to start with so that he doesn't notice. Other makes of macrogol laxative are available, which contain exactly the same active ingredients but might taste slightly different. For some reason, Movicol and Cosmocol also last a little longer in the fridge. You can even get chocolate flavour so don't be afraid to ask your GP to try different flavours. best wishes, ERIC
I use the no flavour laxido for my 7yr old son and add it into a vanilla Milkshake. It's the only way he drinks it. Like you, a few years ago I couldn't get it down him at all as he's a selective eater. Can mix it into any liquid. Good luck x
Try flaxseeds, aldi its natural and goses with anything. Mix with gravy or if he'll eat it in cereal. My s daughter has it in breakfast and tea. Its natural and not hidden.
