Adam aged 8 Years, 6 months after his Hemorrhagic stroke

Had a couple of members wanting to know how my son Adam is today.

He had a stroke 6 months ago; his brain was deprived of oxygen for some time and in a coma for 3 weeks. He has no memory of his 8 years and has been left baby like and functions in that space, so in affect I'm starting from the beginning again. I'm still using Snuggleblanks pocket cloth nappies made in the uk which work very well on him.

It's been a stressful time over the last few months with my partner leaving me just before my son had his stroke so now looking after Adam by myself with support from my mum.

I now start the journey again from the beginning as Adam is basically a baby in an 8 yr olds body well more like a 2 yr old at times as he does babble a few words now and again.

If you look on my past posts Adam was in nighttime nappies till just over 6, he was withholding his poo and would only go sometime during the night and changed once he was up the next morning, so I still have a range of his nappies which are now on him day and night, although looking at getting more in a larger size as he will be in them for a long time to come.

In the meantime I'm just taking it one day at a time and have been told that he is young enough to make a slow recovery to relearn etc.
