The pain was agonising, nothing like ive felt before and kept me up for hours. it eventually went off andi have only had 3 small bouts during the day. Is this normal? Does it mean im doing too much too soon?

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks. x

Is the pain still there? If so id get ur self to gp first thing and get a referral for a scan, if u haven't done much to provoke it then its a bit of a worry hun xx

No it isn't normal, and I unless you can explain it because you know you have overdone it in exercising or activity, then definitely call your gynae ward. There should be a telephone number for them on your discharge form from the hospital, call them and speak to them and see whether they want you to come back in to be checked out or whether they want you to see your GP.

I suspect they will want you back at the hosp to check for infections and scan you incase any equipment or swabs from the op were accidentally left inside you. It can happen, though it is rare, and shouldn't happen, it can and does occur occasionally.

You might also have developed a cyst which had burst (especially if the pain onset was so sudden and acute) that could point to a cyst issue.

At any event is it not something to ignore so soon after an op. It is not normal.
