I had the marina coil fitted whilst under, after having a copper coil in for four years. I also have interstitial cystitis, and cannot determine if the pain is that or endo. Xxx
I got diagnosed with endo last year and h... - Endometriosis UK
I got diagnosed with endo last year and had it "burned" away. And the same day got discharged from gynae. Can it come back?

If they've left in some endo, which could be hidden I.e in your Douglas pouch for example yes it can come back. It grows and spreads this disease. You do know the tiniest bit can cause symptoms, I was surprised at that.
Awww your welcome, go back to the drs, explain your symptoms and ask your doctor to refer you to a endo specialist or a gynaecologist, you may have to have a scan first, but this may or may not show the endo, you need a larascoptomy which is a tiny camera, it's a little operation, but worth it for a correct diagnosis. We will listen on here, we understand, the disease is debilitating & very real as we all know. Good luck luv xx
Burning away endo (laser treatment) doesnt take the endo from the root, so it comes back again at some point. Only excision method can remove completely endo (of course it depends where endo is and if it is safe enough to do so).
I will disagree that if you leave endo will spread. There are so many factors for this, age, hormones etc. Every case is unique case. I'm 33 and i had for years endo only in my uterosacral ligament, didnt spread anywhere else, until they got it out from the root by excision.
The only way to get answers is to have another lap. It would be good to have excision though instead of laser, the statistics show massive difference in success to remove endo with excision. x
