Has anyone tried other types of pain relief? TENS machine? Acupunture? Hot stone massage? And your thoughts on trying them whilst on prostrap monthly injections. Any feedback would be helpful thanks

Other types of pain relief
Hi, im not on prostrap but am about to start my 1st decapeptyl injections on monday. I use a tens machine (ova tens from tens care - not too expensive either) & find it really helps when I can't take pain meds (when I'm driving). I've also tried acupuncture & it did help alieviate the symptoms. unfortunately my acupuncturist gave up her practice to go back to uni & was moving country. It's worth a try though if there's any chance it could work for you. I'd suggest trying to find an acupuncturist who specialises in gynae conditions.
Good luck.
Thanks for your reply. I know it sounds silly but I know I'm going to be on a lot of pain meds for a long time and I don't want to feel like I will become a slave to the pills you know! Thanks again!
Ive got a tens machine and couldnt live without it, especially on bad days. It definitely cut down the amount of meds i took and also felt reassuring i could deal with pain without giving myself side effects.
I also had a hot stone massage this week and althought it was very relaxing, i found it a bit difficult to tolerate mixed with hot flushes from zoladex!
Also could t live without my wheat heat bags. I have some with velcro straps on so can walk around the house whilst they are attat hed to me xxx
Oh I like the idea of trying the wheat heat bags! Thanks Lillil x
