Hi, I have one son who is 6 now. I had a hysterectomy after a couple of miscarrages after my son and was told they had to leave my cervix because the endo has attached to my bowel some way. I'm in no pain now since having the op in Feb this year 2011. But they say I need further surgery because of the bowel. I don't intend to have another op since I have 3 ops in the same scar already but if the pain did start again I think I might reconsider.

Sorry to hear you've not had any children. I am 41 and have had endo from the very first time I had a period the Drs say, that was 11. Take care. x

Hi Kasy I had a hysterectomy last year after 28 years of pain and suffering in much the same way as you described plus other complications. I was never fortunate enough to have children and it is a mamouth thing to come to terms with, this aside the hysterectomy has changed my life although it did take a good year to settle down (and to control the sergically induced menopause). I have just come out of hospital after having more endo removed but in comparison to the life I had before it is a small price to pay. I am very fortunate to have a gynocologist who knows his endo and have been well looked after since being referred to him over 7 years ago. Please be assured that there are lots of us out here going through this so you are not alone. Take care x

Hiya, my tubes hav ben reconstructed as endo stuck my fallopian tubes to my bowel, they have been re-opened but for 6 months.

The 6 months are up in January time and no sign of pregnancy, my tubs could have reclosed already, I don't kno.

Anyway, after these 6 months, I hav no other option but to have a hysterectomy too.

I am 30 yrs old with no children. We are all here for each other, I'm so glad I found this site yesterday.

Take care and chin up, (yea I kno easy to say) !!! xx
