How long should I wait to wax my bikini line after diagnostic laparoscopy? I was diagnosed with endometriosis and they lasered bits off. Scars are healed, there's one in my belly button and one in the 'middle of the jungle'... any thoughts/advice?

Waxing 4 weeks after diagnostic laparoscopy?
Lol @ "middle of the jungle", bless ya x Did they shave you down there? Did you shave yourself down there? Hadn't though of it as didn't realise they went in there, doh! xx
Aww me neither! Do u need to do that before a lap? Sorry I can't give advice! X
I'd wait a good 4weeks before attempting that but everybody is different. You need to consider that even though the entry holes have healed on the skin, inside is still healing so it may end up being painful. Sorry I can't help anymore that that xx
I waxed before it, lower than usual. When I say "jungle" lol, I mean a few inches below my panty line. However, I do have another question, she did say that she made the 2 incisions.. One in my belly button and one "in the jungle", but she also said something about having to go up the way to "do some work" Now anyone know what work they might have done? I am completely new to all of this, I was convinced for years that my periods were normal for years. The doctors were convinced it was Crohn 's disease for the past 5years. After 7 colonoscopies, 4 endoscopies, 2 cats, 1emu, scans, loss of 2 and half stone in 1month, can't be bothered typing the rest lol... Oh well, I know now. I'm on Microgynon now so we'll see. Thanks for your answers girlies!
I've had 4 laps and have never had inscisions below the panty line! How odd! Each time I just made sure things were neat and tidy down there. As for waxing, why not phone the lady who does it and ask her? They must see c-section scars etc all the time.
As for 'do some work' you can ask what they did in your follow-up appointment, or ask your GP as they will write a letter to your GP outlining what they did.
You girls are legends. I'm getting more information from you than any actual professionals. I did go see my go but unlike so many others who are able to say what stage, or where the endo was, the only information she gave me was "you have endometriosis" ..... that's all she told me. I am assuming she just hadn't received all the information at that stage so I'll just have to wait.. I I might just bite the bullet and do it it and just avoid that particular area. Thanks sooooo much!!!
Hey Niammh, you could start a new trend as opposed to the Brazilian, Landing Strip styles, and create something special by waxing all around it and leaving a unique shape for us Endo girls!!!
Seriously though, I would take care with it, you don't want to open it up to infection or anything. xxx
Call it a Lap Wax xxx
I found the answer to my own question lol. For future reference for anyone else : homepage.ntlworld.com/srowe............... it states that after any operation, it is best to wait 6months.. I thought that was playing a little too much on the safe side but hey, they're the professionals! Thanks again everyone!
