I had my Lap. on the 12th November, I was told that the stiches were dissolvable. My wounds have almost healed however, I have what I can only describe as (clear vynal looking thread) poking out of 2 of my wounds. I am quite worried, has anyone else had this happen please? x

I had the same. Op on 3 Oct. Mid Dec still going strong. I had the nurse at the surgury remove them when I went in for an injection.

I had the same from my first lap after nearly couple of weeks. Pop along too the practice nurse at your surgery who will be able to help.

Yep, me too! Your practise nurse or HCA at your surgery will take them out no problems. I was told if they hadn't come out by 10 days. In saying tht, they couldn't find one in the tummy button...? Hope you get it sorted! :)

Thanks guys, I will make an appointment with my GP (Thanks for the reassurance) I was starting to really feel quite worried. I wasn't given any follow up appointment, which I found quite odd also. :) xx
