urgent advice needed re wounds

Hi guys just wondered when i should take the dressings off my wounds? i have 2 both on stomach. Had the lap 48 hours ago and they never said what to do with the wounds or the dressings... any advice would be MUCH appreciated thank you! x

I changed mine daily for three days and on the fourth day the gp told me I should give the wounds some air. I don’t think there are any hard and fast rules, lots of us don’t seem to be given guidance!

I had my lap last week, I was told to leave dressings on for 48 hours and shower them off then get a clean towel to dry them before drying anywhere else. Leave them open with no other dressings on them. Mine have healed really well.

I took my dressings off the next day. One came off no problem but the other was quite sore when I started on it so I ended up doing it after my shower to make it peel a bit easier x

How was the lap? Pain, recovery time, scars....Got one in two weeks. X
