Is it usual??

I had a lap three weeks ago tomorrow when an ovary was removed. I am recovering slowly but had a weird sensation that I was bleeding so much so that I actually went to check. I just wondered if this was usual or should I be worried??

Hi Smiley

Were you bleeding when you went to check?

I think any and all weird sensations are probably to be expected after surgery; our bodies are not designed to be 'messed about with' and take a while to get back to normal.

I remember walking to work once shortly after a lap and being absolutely convinced that I was pouring with blood which must be visible to everybody around me. My tights felt as if they were sticking to me and I ended up running to the office.

When I got there - no blood at all. Not even a spot. And my tights were sticking to me because I'd broken out in a sweat worrying about it.

You're probably on high alert but the longer you go post lap with no strange occurances the more likely it is that you're going to be fine :)

Hi Chrissie

No there wasn't any blood not one spot which was a relief but it's good to hear that someone else has experienced similar things which makes me realise that I'm not going paranoid !!

Thanks.

Oh no, you're certainly not paranoid! Although I know exactly what you mean, this disease has a knack of making us think we're going mad, doesn't it?!

Take care
