I just had my first lap and when I came out of theatre consultant said I have one blocked tube and in my follow up app he's going to discuss ivf. Has anyone else had this result. The thought of ivf frightens me!!

I have had successful IVF and I can honestly say that it was a whole lot better than I imagined. The staff were so supportive and much kinder than my local hospital had been. Feel free to message me

Hello, I'm new to this community but just wanted to let you know I'm in the same boat. Husband and I have just gone on the waiting list for IVF, it's 15 months - 2 years but doc says I'm young enough not to worry about the wait just yet. I have two blocked tubes and very bad endo with the scarring in the wall of my uterus too, he gave that another name beginning with A but I can't remember now! I had a very painful HSG which showed the blockages but I've been living with endo for about 10 years, well that's when I was diagnosed but I guess we've lived with it since we started our periods.

It was all a bit frightening and daunting to hear about this and what IVF entails, but we want kids and just now this is the only way. I have friends and family who have been through it and hope they can give some good advise and I hope this is the same for you, I'm also happy to chat with you.

Thank u all for your support and stories. E1wish- I'm surprised at how long you have had to wait, it can't be easy but hope that u are nearer to getting your treatment. Not sure part part of the country you are but there is a really good clinic in Nottingham with really good success rates which u may want to consider? Don't think The waiting list is that long xx

I know that if I need to, I will go for ivf but just need to find out whether it's possible with one patent tube which is connected to the ovary with no endo on it.

Wishing you all the best and hope we can all get our BFP and healthy pregnancies very soon

xxxxx
