Blocked fallopian tube
Hi Ronsk,
I hope you are well 😊
I was diagnosed in Apr 21 with stage 4 Endo and a blocked Fallopian tube following a laparoscopy. I was prescribed the pill mini pill to help ease the pain and not produce my period. This worked for my until August and the pains started back. I believe this was an after affect of having my second covid vaccine.
In November I had my check up with my consultant and explained everything. He suggested an laparoscopic surgery to remove the endo and fit the Marina coil. This was all done in Dec 21. Bit of a whirlwind but I feel better knowing that it has hopefully all been removed and won’t start back due the coil.
Surgery isnt for everyone and as we all know there is no cure for Endo but there options out there for you!! Xx
Hi thanks for your reply
I've had endo for a long time now,(diagnosed 12 years ago I think) had 3 surgeries to remove it. Was due to get one recently but consultant decided against it . It was really to remove painful cysts from each ovary but due to the damage from previous ops he said my ovaries would loose lots of function limiting chances of conceiving again.ive been through peri menapause 3 or 4 times for pain relief which helped massively but I'm ttc again. Previous relationship of 14 years with ivf 5 times. Now I've got a blocked fallopian tube which does not help matters. I have an appointment on the 10th Feb to discuss this..I just want them to remove the endo and maybe leave the ovary. The pain is now in my upper abdomen. But I know it's on my kidneys etc from back in 2013 after having open surgery for another reason..I've had the coil too which also worked for me as well as the zoladex..but as I said I'm trying to get pregnant just now and it's been over a year. I'll be 40 this year..time to give up soon..
😔
Hey, I’ve got endo and blocked tubes. We’re just about to start our first round of IVF. They haven’t removed my tubes but I don’t think there’s a way to save them once they’re blocked but I could be wrong. Sending lots of love it’s such a hard journey xxx
Sorry you’re in pain. I have stage 4 endo and my right Fallopian tube is blocked and my consultant did a laparoscopy to clip it before proceeding with IVF. I don’t know if they would’ve left it if I hadn’t been trying to conceive but they recommended either removing or clipping before going ahead. I know tubes can be blocked with different things and not just endo. Mine is endo but my sister has two blocked tubes which they suggested was down to some sort of infection and they have left hers and she is preceding with IVF. I have read about people trying to unblock them naturally but I can’t remember how. Maybe caster oil packs? Maybe try and speak to an endo specialist and see what they suggest. Wishing you luck x
