Exercise......

Hi - i have some weight to lose before i can have surgery and so far i've lost just over 2st - i attend weight management and they put on exercise classes which are basically circuit stations, they are good if you work hard enough - i have also joined the gym, and although i'm very tired from just general life, work, kids etc and now exercise i am still managing it - whilst exercising i don't feel any extra pain than i'm already in, other than when i use the rowing machine, that does give the stabbing pain, but everything else is fine yet when i do 2 hrs of ironing or 3-4 hours of work (standing as hairdresser) i am in agony, especially the cyst on my ovary which they 'watching'.

but just wondered how i can do so much at these exercise classes/gym and not be in agony, i know we release some sort of feel good hormone when exercising but surely it cant be that - maybe its just the way i stand lol xx

i have another 2st to lose so that they will finally do my lap, but i have quite a bit more to lose in total, put on quite a bit last year and the few years previous as was bleeding so heavy and so often i couldn't leave the bathroom let alone the house at times, had the mirena coil put in last year and it has made things a bit better, in that a tampon and a pad will last me a few hours now xxx

Hi

I'm in the same boat too, I posted on here the other day after seeing some recent photos of myself looking huge.

Lots of people have suggested the endo diet, which is no wheat, sugar, caffeine e.t.c but that sounds a bit depressing!

So im trying walking and swimming.

Well done on the 2st so far, I'm impressed!

Lots of love

Hayley xx

The endo diet has really helped me. If anyone is interested in starting I'd suggest start cutting one of the three from your diet. I'd start with wheat free... But you must give it a full month. The pain has become much more manageable since I've cut wheat and caffeine from my diet., it was really hard at first but it has also helped with the constant fatigue. It's a big commitment but it really has helped.

i have been researching foods as i have found a pattern when i eat weetabix for my brekkie (i love weetabix) but ended up with almost immediate bloating for 2 -3 days after, very painful bloating - have not had them for almost 2 weeks and am going to try them again on my next day off so i can see if it makes me feel the same, if it does then i will research further into the trying to cut more wheat out - i don't think i could follow the endo diet completely either, i have been following slimming world and its working well for me, we had our monthly treat of a chinese last night and i'm feeling the effects from it today, even my hubby said he can feel how bad it has made him feel and that we probably won't bother with it again as we all felt so rough lol - its amazing how we can change our taste buds and bodies though xxx

I am really impressed that you're getting so much exercise done, and the 2 stone. Congratulations!

I have no idea why the pain is hurting you when standing but not exercising - must be very strange for you. It may be that you have some specific adhesion that's put under pressure by standing, but is OK when you're moving about, but that seems a little odd. Maybe when particular muscles are engaged then your cyst etc is better supported and so not causing so much pain? Anyway... very hard to guess. But I do feel pretty inspired by your achievements!

it is very strange i agree - it hurts all the time but its like a dull, tugging pain then each day i get bouts of sharp, stabbing pains that last anything from 30 secs to several hours - and like i said i am managing my exercising classes and gym ok, but standing still or hoovering, carrying heavy bags or a basket of wet washing can cripple me - i almost feel a bit of a fraud at times as people will think how can that be xxx
