Hi Bex,

What is the implant called? I have a zoladex implant - but in my tummy. (If you are slim then they put this in your arm). Or is it Prostrap?

I am due to have 4th out of 6 implant this fri and up until recently it has been great. However, first month is a bit nightmarish as your body is getting used to having/not having hormones. It's stopped my periods, the pain - not just in my pelvic area but everywhere. But it bought on hot flushes, and more tiredness! Now, though the pain has started to come back, etc.

If I had my chance again - I would still do it - anything is worth a try rather than trying to live in pain and tired all the time.

Hi,

It is a progestogen hormone and it is a implant in the top arm. You can have it for up to 3 years.

I am thinking of having it but nervous of any side effects.

I have been told that it may help the endo pain I am having, but I was unsure as it hasnt been mentioned to me before.

I have never heard of it before. I have been on it for contraception I got told I had endo in Novemeber last year so if it works you might as well try it.

I was on Yasmin pill for years for another gyne complaint and didn't realise they used it for endo aswell - so it may be a type of contraceptive pill that could suit your hormone level in controlling endo?

Are you going to give it a try? They can alsways take it out if it doesn't work?

I think I may give it a try as it can always be taken out like you said. I think that it is worth a go. I
