leg pain

Hello,

I know I post a lot on here but I don’t really have anyone to ask beside this community.

Does anyone else experience like leg discomfort usually evening/night time? It’s like the go a bit numb but they also ache and sort of pulse with pain?

The easiest way for me to describe it is like “growing pains” children get but in adults.

Really hope that makes sense to someone

Yes. I always get it down the front of my thigh and it really aches to the point I don't know what to do with myself. It is always on the left which is the side I have a large endometrioma.

had the same for years, always worst in the mornings, got to the point where I couldn't move my left leg anymore. Once the endometrioma was removed, most of the pain (not all, it comes back sometimes) went.

I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing this too but I’m also glad I’m not the only one. Sometimes it’s a lot worse than others but sometimes it’s so much I want to cry cause it’s such an intense feeling! The only thing I’ve found that takes the edge off is a hot water bottle on my legs but even then it’s not fully effective

Hello, yes. Prior to new meds I would have this and lower back pain most nights. Exactly the way you describe it.

I was diagnosed last year after a lap, I had deep infiltrating Endo, all over pelvic walls/ligaments.

I’m now taking pregagablin which is so far working for me. X

Thank you for sharing with me whilst I’m sorry to hear you experience it too I’m glad I’m not on my own. I was diagnosed last year too but I can’t really remember where the endo was found 😅 I’m glad you’ve found something that’s helping you, it’s not a nice feeling x

Yes! My gp thought this might be because the endometria is pushing against the nerves which goes down my leg. It's so weird and hard to describe!

In a way I’m glad I’m not the only one but at the same time I’m sorry to hear you experience it as well. My surgeon said it was all removed but as I’m still in pain and this is like one symptom that still hasn’t gone alongside others I’m concerned I’ve got some pressing on nerves too… thank you for sharing with me

yeppp ! All the time, like I’ve done a huge leg workout but totally havent. I do some stretching and have acupuncture to try to relive it, I’m not sure why it happens. You’re not alone tho x

Yes me too down the front of both my thighs, it's fairly new for me and I get it at least everyday both legs either down to knee or down to foot like a sharp pulsing pain mostly but can also feel heavy and like iv done an intense workout. I read if endo is on or near any nerves or ligaments this can happen, I had endo ablated from uterosacral ligaments

I did ask my endo nurse but she just replied "we don't know the cause of your pain" i am having a MRI in a few week to see if this picks anything up x

Yes I've had this for many years. It's very common with endometriosis and is to do with it being on nerves that travel down the legs. I take 2 Amitriptyline nightly for this, takes the edge off the pain. I don't know if that would help you. You should speak to your doctor to see if there's anything they can suggest because it's very unpleasant.

Good luck xx

Hi All, I also get this leg pain but so does my 7 year old & my sisters 4 yr old (they have since a baby!!) & we discovered that it could be histamine related. We try not to have high-histamine food too late in the day & also all take daily antihistamines. It helps & is a lot less often. Sadly we haven't found anything that resolves it completely. (Its a horrible pain to deal with & it's even worse when your child is having to deal with it, waking up in the middle of the night screaming 😥😭) .. We also found a link with food allergies/ intolerances (possibly MCAS) & our pain is worse if we are having a reaction.

Best wishes to you all & I hope you can find some comfort soon 🤞🏻
