Leg pain

Does anyone suffer with leg pain? I’ve had a pain in the right side of my groin for a long time now which I’m used to. But recently I’ve been getting pains in my hips, bum and even the whole of my legs 😩 I feel like an old lady and am constantly taking pain killers. I know I have another cyst on my right ovary so I’m not sure something is trapping a nerve? Although the pain is both legs? Feel a bit silly going to the gp for sore legs but my god it’s getting worse! x

Hi,first of all dont feel silly about sorting Supporting. Yes with endo comes pains on the legs, lower back. The pain in actual fact is coming from the cyst in the ovary but the mind signals it down to the legs as it's not sure where to go. As explained by my gynae specialist and then my Bsge specialist surgeon. Since having my first lap 3 weeks ago I havent had any leg pain. They drained out two large cyst in my left ovary which is the left leg pain I used to get a lot. Have you been diagnosed with endo? x

Hi thanks for your reply. Yes I was diagnosed with stage 4 endo in Feb 2018 as I had an emergency lap due to severe pain which they initially thought was my appendix. Had a scan recently and was told I have a cyst on my right ovary, which has always been the worst effected. I have just put up with the groin pain basically since then. The leg pain used to occasionally appear but it’s pretty much all the time now. Even uncomfortable when I’m sitting. My next appointment with gynae is Jan. I just seem to be keep popping cocodamol. I went back on prostap about 3 months ago after a break of about 1 year, so maybe in that time the endo has returned with a vengeance 😔 x

I am on microgynon and that has helped me so much with pain management. I stopped taking pain killers and used to only take cocodamol if I can barely walk but since being on the pill taking it back to back 3month i havent needed to take any pills. x

I do! Pain in my hips and groin was what made my doc think endo, since I've had my laparoscopy I've had pain in my thighs and inner groin when I have a flare up

Yes! I always suffer leg pain like I am on my feet 24/7 and also have spider veins I think they’re called? Which I am not supposed to get until a later age I think this is caused from endometriosis

The pain down my legs is even worse than the pain I get on my belly to be honest.

I do get lots of pain from the left side going down to my left groin and I'm pretty sure that's related to the left ovary. I do get pain on my hips too and if you get it on your back and around the anus or on the bum too, it could be related to the utero-sacral ligaments, which are usually affected by endo in an endo sufferer.

Hi, I get chronic coccyx, leg and back pain. I also get tingling in my left leg. Always in the same spot! I think I may have sciatic endo. My lap isn't until December. 😔

I've also got swollen lymph nodes in my groin , but not sure if that would be because of endo.

I do! The first I knew of having endo is a scan because of pain in left ovary area. They found a 5 cm blood filled cyst and said I have endo. But my leg pain is awful and I have pins and needles all the time. I still don't know if that's connected to endo but a chiropractor can't find a reason why I have it. They're taking my ovaries out. Does anyone know if they will have a good search around in there to see if there's anymore endo other than the cyst? Its called a laparoscopy and oophectomy. I want to know if they'll search my coccyx area too as I have extreme pain there too? Does anyone know if they do that routine or if I can request it?

I'd definitely request it. Map out your pain areas on a diagram of the human body and give it to them if you can

Good idea thankyou.

I have had leg pains of various types. I'm not sure if related to endo but a lot of what I have read I dictates many with endo suffer leg pains. I know the yoga thing is old and no way a cure but I found it helpful with referred pain like in my legs and buttocks. Mine get so tense for no reason. But any kind of stretch will help minimise these. Might be worth going to a doc anyway as it could be something entirely different! So hard when you are chronically ill deciding what's worthy of going to the doctor isn't it?

I suffer with pain in my legs, hips and pelvis too and I also have cysts in both ovaries so this thread is interesting as I always wondered why the pain in the legs and sometimes walking tires me out it seems to happen each time my cysts reappear.

I have terrible pain in my right side from my lower back, hip, into my bum, groin, down my thigh, knee hurts even my ankle and right foot hurts. I had my first laproscopy in May this year which they found endo however my consultant has told me that my pain isn’t from endo and had discharged me says I need to see someone else about my leg pain

Hi there, I have been seeing a physio for about 7 mths now for recurrent sciatic nerve pain that runs from the centre of thigh from the bum to about half way down my leg. Its only my left leg that's affected too. Its only been in the last few weeks that I have considered that it my be caused by my endo. Who knew??

I have been doing rehab on my leg and changed a bunch of things, like using a stand-up desk at work.

Omg yes, ive had pains in my upper (thigh) since i was about 6. always worse if i even walk to the end of the road and back (im at a very low numbered house <10) was always told it was growing pains, over and over doctor after doctor said it was growing pains.

Im 25 now. I stopped growing a longggg time ago.

Also get this weird pain in my foot, feels like the bone in the arch under foot is coming throu skin (sorry if too much info) No idea if its just me.

Doctor before last sent me to foot specialist (cant remember name) who gave me insoles to wear, had MRI was told i was skinny so was sent to a dietrician, told to eat more, emm yeahhh :/

I have pains in my legs, lower back, keep getting a pain in my lower right side near hip (no idea if related) and of course insainly bad period pains when aunt flo is visiting, so bad i pass out and cant move.
