Period or no period?

I have been diagnosed with endometriosis (what grade I have no idea as it has taken me months to have someone explain the results to me). I haven't had any surgery as I am trying for my first baby. They suggested I wait 9 months and if I don't get pregnant then they will look into surgery for me.

Anyway, I digress. The past two periods I haven't had a normal period. I get cramping and the feeling I'm on however there is little to no blood. I have had a small amount here or there and it is dark blood, like old blood. I did have a smear test a week before where my cervix bled heavily. Could this be it or is it just my endo?

Any advice would help!

hun I see no one has commented I honestly can’t tell you what this is. It could be as you said to do with having the smear. If it’s one of your first smears and when you have endo the smears are very painful and uncomfortable . Apparently there not supposed to hurt there just ment to be uncomfortable. After my first couple I really did not want to have one every three years as I would be in agony. But they are important for detecting the hpv virus and detecting cancer. So they are a preventative. Sometimes though you could bleed a little if your body is tense. Maybe see your gp for advice or better still the practice nurse they will be able to advice you best . Hope this helps abit or even if you have an endometriosis consultant and the specialist nurse she may be able to help more in advice and put you more at ease. Take care
