Does anyone else find that regular painkillers (paracetamol, ibuprofen, aspirin etc) don’t work on endo pain?
If so do you know why?

Paracetamol doesn't seem to touch the pain for me, when I've had acute pain diflocan has worked, its antiflammatory that is suppository
Yep. Paracetamol and ibuprofen never even touch the pain for me. I don't know why. Guess they're just not strong enough. I was prescribed mefenamic acid, which is basically a strong version of ibuprofen, but it works better if you take it before you get the pain (now that I don't get a period anymore, I can't predict my pain, so I don't really use it anymore).
If I get really bad, I go to Boots and get Nurofen plus. That has codeine in it that usually helps somewhat. But you're only meant to take those for three days max.
But yeah, I stopped even bothering to take paracetamol and ibuprofen a long time ago. I think they help some people, but it seems to be a recurring theme among people with endo that stronger stuff is required.
You need to target inflammation. Paracetamol is not an anti-inflammatory and Nurofen (in some cases) isn’t strong enough. I have been taking Bare Biology fish oils and they -touch wood - have erased ALL of my endo pain. I’m looking to combine with turmeric, NAC, and others as well as eating an anti-inflammatory diet (esp berries, green tea, nuts) to keep it at bay! ♥️
I’ve been in that same position and have tried so many different medicines. Nurofen did help somewhat but I am now prescribed naproxen and co codomal for the pain- however this doesn’t always work either
