Hi all! I’m diagnosed stage 2 and have noticed if I get ill, my endo gets worse! Is anyone else the same?
The first time I had covid a few years ago (pre diagnosis) my symptoms really ramped up and got worse. I had surgery the end of 2023 and things got better for a time.
I’ve had several boosters for Covid as I am also asthmatic but got Covid again this year right before Xmas.
I usually have a flare up around the end of each month but I am currently having a flare up and including a bleed (which is unusual for me as I have a mirena fitted) and I can only think that having Covid again has messed up my cycle and endo 😓
Has anyone else found this?

My endo/addeno pain got horrific after COVID I was managing it before but I was so poorly after. I spoke to a consultant he said they had seen changes after COVID to fertility in clinics and there's some study that shows it affects ladies periods so it's possible isn't it. I had the vaccine for asthma and was ok I was so worried about getting it again.
Hi I had the covid booster in 2024 and within hours I was bleeding severely.there was no sign of it stopping so I had to go to a and e a few times.they put me on transexamic acid, provera and prostap.the bleeding eventually stopped after this but I'm worried it will return when these meds are stopped.awful experience with covid booster.i was on desogestrel at the time which they stopped
Omg that sounds awful! I haven’t had a booster in a few years as apparently I’m not eligible but by the sounds of it I’m quite glad! For me though when I actually got Covid my cycle seems to have gotten all messed up 😢 no winning is there!
No not at all.even two gynae consultants I seen said there has been so many coming in with bleeding after the covid jabs.one woman he said bled for 6 months so it's really not good.i was eligible but I'm sorry I had it now.
Hi there. Yes the British Medical Journal noted that the covid booster and covid itself interfered with gynalogical cycles back 2021. They have an updated paper for 2024 by a Dr with an apt name (a veriation of Pain) with 53 references to covid and menstruation. Having your covid booster during the luteal phase (which is where i believe progestogine hormones put me for treatment permanently) causes the most bleeding and inflamation. A quick google search for British Medical Journal with the key words covid and menstruation and it will pop up.
