Periods haven't returned after GnRH injections

Hi, I'm trying to find someone else in a similar situation. I had 4 monthly injections of GnRH as a temporary form of relief for my endometriosis whilst I waited for my follow up Gynae appointment. My last injection was in September and my period still hasn't returned? Is this normal? I was told my periods would return and my symptoms would likely return to, something I was prepared for in order to get a few months of relief but now I'm worried it has shut my ovaries down completely. I'm 38 and have also done a pregnancy test which was negative.

I had a similar situation last year and information online showed that it varied greatly between individuals. I had a single three month dose in February and had my first period in early September!

I saw my GP while waiting for my period to return and she said they would not be concerned until about 6 months. She said if I got to that point to return and they would arrange blood tests to check what was going on.
