dehydrated

hey all. This is a bit of a random one but since my laparoscopy, I’ve felt chronically dehydrated. I wake up with headaches, constant dry mouth, my face looks exhausted with huge purple bags and I just feel dry all the time lol. Has anybody got any advice or been through similar? My laparoscopy was around 3-4 months ago

Deal of the day: Fast&Up Reload – Mixed Berry - Instant Electrolytes & Hydration - 20 Effervescent Tablets amzn.eu/d/6uM7QZ6

I don’t know if rehydration stuff with electrolytes will help? Measure your water intake and monitor it for a week. No change, see Gp? When is your follow up from Gyne? Mention it there.

A lap can be a huge thing for our bodies depending on your particular case. I remember it taking a while before I bounced back and I felt shockingly unwell for quite a while.

I hope this helps a bit? Huge hugs if you like them 🫂💞

The NHS has given me a follow up in a YEAR from now 🥺 I really don’t know what to do. My gyno wanted to see me 6 weeks after my surgery but my appointment is in July 2025. I think you’re right I’ll try monitoring and booking in with the GP. I’ve felt so alone in all of this process and just kind of kicked down the road

ring the Gyne’s secretary and speak up. Ask for an appointment sooner than a year 😞🤦🏻‍♀️

I'd go and see GP and also ring the gynae ward where you had surgery or the secretary of the gynaecologist who did your surgery to ask if it's anything that needs following up, sorry if you've already tried this advice!
