Iv noticed alcohol aggravates my symptoms - If anyone is the same is there anything you can tolerate that you can recommend as I'd like a little something to have with family over Christmas time. Thankyou

Alcahol starts of the inflammation. Before i started zoledex injections i would have some drinks with family or friends and be in pain for a few days. Since the zoledex ive been told not to drink alcahol due to the side effects of the injections.

Ive given up alcahol nearly 9 months now and its so hard to have a night out with friends. I have found there is so much 0% alcahol now but i went for a few mocktails for my birthday with 0% gin or wine and still felt rough for a few days. Its really hard mentally especially with xmas coming up

I'm sorry to hear that our lives are controlled so much. Iv not had a drink in 2 year for the same reason I end up in a mess, doubled over in tears but I never thought of 0% so thankyou for that x

Our lives are controlled by this disease. Im currently waiting for hysterectomy but in the south of uk its 12-18 months.Been on the zoledex injections 9 months next week but only signed the forms 6 months ago. This makes me feel lost and not me as ive given uo so much to try ease symtoms and still feel crap.

Give the 0% a go see how you feel

You are correct. I struggle with my symptoms everyday and I'm constantly on at my GP I'm still waiting to see a gynae out of town as my local hospital didn't believe it was gynae related despite showing all endo signs and they discharged me. I went private and paid for a lap in the meantime and have had worse symptoms since, the private consultant said id need a hysterectomy so im hoping the NHS take his notes into consideration. Good luck in your recovery when the time comes x

If you're a larger drinker try the 0% Stella tastes just like it I also have the corona 0% that's nice too other than that it's mocktails and soft drinks then too much fizz can make me bloated then the pain comes anyway 😳 I have a bucks fizz at Christmas or a wkd they seem to be ok for me too in moderation too much then your doomed the next day 👍

I used to be a larger drinker but now I don't like the taste now 😂 I will have a look and see what I can find and appeals. I wouldn't even last til the next day with a flare it happens within a few hours for me unfortunately 😕 recommendation on another platform of tequila but I'm not sure I like that either 😅 x

Kopparberg cider do a not so bad 0% fruity taste. Mine happens within hours too but the next day is worse if I try drinking the real stuff I've not tried tequila in years since my early 20s and I'm 42 now I can't really remember the taste I'll have to have another search about for more things that don't flare me up 🤣 I gave up after a few searches last time i tried the 0% they do wines and all sorts but I wasn't a wine drinker before all this I liked lager or vodka with blue bols oh I miss a decent drink 🤣 xx

I feel exactly the same. I'm not a massive drinker but it does make me feel left out during family gatherings as I'm usually the only adult alcohol free. I'll look at the kopperberg, not a wine fan I'd like to try and find something smooth too keep the bloat minimal thankyou x
