Sounds like a weird question
But how soon after a laparoscopy can I consume alcohol??

You're asking the right question 😅 I would like to hear what people suggest. I had my lap just over 2 weeks ago and I'm considering having a drink this weekend. Maybe it all depends on how your body feels, as everyone recovers differently.
Unless you're on medication, I'd say small amounts after the first couple of days should be OK. But remember that your body has been through a lot and you don't want to put too much strain on it. If it's a beer or glass of wine in the evening that should be OK. A few drinks might be too much. Perhaps a good way to gauge it is to have one drink one night and see how you feel the next day.
The leaflet I was given by the hospital (general advice for all day surgery patients) said don't drink alcohol the day before, the day of, or the day after surgery. Also I think it said that you shouldn't drive or sign legal documents for 48 hours after the surgery because the general anaesthesia is still wearing off and could be affecting decision making and reaction times etc.
I went out 2 weeks after my lap so last weekend haha. It just depends on how you’re feeling xx
