Im going to ask my gp to test my oestrogen levels, as Iv been having some issues with sweating and acne (delightful new symptoms!) and someone mentioned to me that it can be quite common for those with endo to have higher than normal oestrogen which could be causing some of my problems.
We’re also thinking about possibly starting to TTC in the new year so just want to make sure Iv got all my ducks in a row as it may not be that easy with my endo and want to give us the best chance I can. Is there anything else that I ought to ask the doctor to test for while I’m at it?
Thanks everyone!
Xx

Hey! Certainly won’t hurt to check hormones before ttc, however based on my experience trying to get any kind of answers or support for high oestrogen - I would advise to keep your expectations low… I haven’t had any luck getting support from multiple different gp’s or even endocrinology as I’m not looking to go back on any hormonal contraception, and my borderline and above range oestrogen keeps being shrugged off as ‘normal for some women my age’ despite the symptoms trashing my quality of life. It seems that unless a woman is unable to conceive, anything else is not a big enough concern to investigate Still, fingers crossed you have better luck! The gp should be able to advise in more detail what to look at for ttc, but I’d imagine they’ll start with a hormone and thyroid panel
