I've received my letter saying I can phone and make my new initial appointment. It says I've got 14 days to do it but 3 of those days were taken up by post, and 4 are taken up with the hospital not answering calls at weekends. Has anybody else had this type of letter cutting down your phone in options from the stated 14 days to to 7? I've already complained last year when they sent a letter across the Christmas week threatening to remove me if I couldn't contact them on the phone number while shut and the number was wrong. I'm beginning to think there is no gyno department where I have moved to. I've been here 2 years and still not met a gyno.

Hi Savage,
I know these letters can be confusing,
Best thing to do is contact pals or hospital complaints services about it and see if they can change the wording of the letter to 'working days' for a bit of clarity.
Sometimes they use 14 days etc, just to make sure the patient calls as soon as possible so they don't get missed and then get discharge back to there GP later on.

sadly I’ve had a few form different departments like this. My own letter for the gyno never physically arrived so if I hadn’t checked my online account I’d never have known.
