Hi, I'm a chronic migraine sufferer, like many illnesses it can be case of trial and error to see what works for you. I sometimes find ibuprofen works better than paracetamol, or failing that I've got paramol (over the counter painkiller) which helps (alongside prescribed tablets). I find kool'n'soothe strips helpful as they have a cooling effect but I can still try and get home/do things with it on. However I find the 4head type sticks don't work for me (although others swear by them). Again cool, dark room always helps, and sleep -sometimes I can just have a quick nap but other times I'm sleeping for hours! My migraines aren't directly linked to my endo however they are triggered by hormones (cant take any hormonal birth control and am likely to get a couple for the week I'm on my period). Hope this might give you some other helpful ideas, but I would definitely mention it to the nurse and see if they can give you anything to help.
Hello, I suffer with cluster headaches, I normaly get them as I'm coming on my period or finishing, I'm not on any medication for my endo, iv just put them down to hormones. Iv just recently got the migraine face mask/head wrap that I leave in the fridge and then put on when I can feel the headaches coming, it seems to help with the pain. I also take strong pain relief and lay in a dark quiet room. Iv attached a picture of the migraine cap, hope this helps.
hello. Yes I have migraine headaches which I think is connected to the endo but I’m not totally sure. Like others I think it is hormonal. I only get headaches and not auras or sickness.
I now take sumatriptan and it usually works within 30 minutes. It needs to be prescribed in the first instance. You can also get it over the counter at the pharmacy (in v small quantities) but you have to complete a health form first. Good luck.
Hi , I've had migraine since three years old. Ask for sumatripan. This helps Massively with them. Also worth mentioning that if it gets too much get seen because I had a stroke young. At 42. Good luck and go see your GP.
Hi! I have never experienced headaches or migraines with my endo until I started Zoladex. I'm on my second injection and it's definitely been a side effect for me (although they aren't too bad generally). I've found it also coincides with how well I've slept or how stressed I am. Rest, quiet and dark are most helpful for me. I hope they get better for you!
Thankyou ive been on them 6 months and this is the 1st time. Was really horrible.I have been run down amd stressed with alot going on so maybe that triggered it
A perfect storm of stress, being under the weather and hormones. Perhaps it will be a one off. Best to mention it to your nurse in case they can offer anything too.
Hey :)I suffer with migraines and have in the past few months (when my flare ups have been horrific again) have started to have migraines with aura and my vision can be completely gone from anywhere between 2 and 60 minutes....
I have sumatriptan and also aspirin was advised for me to take at the slightest incling of a headache (especially as I work in a science lab).
I really find having a cold head and darkness helps. Ice packs on my head and wet flannels over my eyes.
Really hope everything works out for you and you find what helps xxx
