Pelvic mri

Hey I’m just wondering how long anyone waited for pelvic mri results I had my mri in feb because my gynaecologist wanted to rule out deep infiltrating lesion my next follow up appointment isn’t until may and I rang them yesterday and they said I will still have to wait till then for results. Does this mean nothings been found? I’m stressing out about it so any advice would be great thankyou ☺️

Hi, results of an MRI should be available within a week or two, but I imagine they won’t just give them out. Normally they wait for the next appointment so that a doctor can go through them with you. So I wouldn’t read anything into the delay.

sometimes you can request the results/findings from the imaging service x

I got my MRI results really quickly as they found something they didn't like the look of. I'd go with the old saying no news is good news, I think with more urgent things they do get in touch promptly x

hi. i just had one last week and the imaging guy said to me that results should be available in 10 working days so i should ring the person that referred me for a MRI and they should be able to tell me.. ring again and ask them that you just want reassurance and its driving you insane not knowing...most probably the secretary will tell you she'll speak to consultant and let you know..

When I rang they just said I’ll have to wait until may if it was anything untoward I would be called in sooner it’s been 3 weeks so I think everything must be fine but I’ll ring again tomorrow and see what they say, I had a follow up appointment booked before I even had my mri so I think that’s why they’ve said I’ve got to wait x

I had a pelvic MRI about 3 weeks ago, it was an urgent referral but there was a 2 week wait for results. I thought it was odd as the MRI was requested urgently. It was all fine, so I agree with previous posts - if they find something untoward they will be in touch 😄
