Insomnia on Nortriplyline

I’ve been on Nortriplyline now for over a month now and have barely slept 🤦‍♀️. I was on Amitriptyline and was great for making me sleep. Has anyone experienced this when changing from Amitriptyline to Nortriptyline? I’m exhausted and it’s just making everything feel worse x

I seen an endo specialist and he said it was worth trying the Nortriptyline as most of his patients found it worked better for them so I was happy to try but yesterday I spoke with the doctor and going back to the amitriptyline.

I’m glad you got it sorted with the doctor and hopefully it will help you get back some sleep. It was worth a try but I would definitely stick with what works xx

Hi, I was put on nortriptyline as a migraine preventative & also had massive sleep issues/nightmares & had to come off it. It is a listed side effect so probably not that uncommon, but maybe it settles down for some. Can't remember how long I was on it, a few months I think.
